    Muhammad Ali…Recipe for Life

I’d like for them to say he took a few cups of love, he took 1 tablespon of patience, 1 teaspoon of generosity, 1 pint of kindness, he took 1 quart of laughter, 1 pinch of concern, and then, he mixed willingness with happiness, he added lots of faith, and he stirred it up well, then he spread it up over a span of a lifetime, and he served it to each and every deserving person he met.

Iceland, Eyjafjallajökull - May 1st and 2nd, 2010 by Sean Stiegemeier

Update: I will be helping teach a time-lapse workshop in Iceland in August! See details here: bit.ly/aWSc4t

So I saw all of these mediocre pictures of that volcano in Iceland nobody can pronounce the name of, so I figured I should go and do better. But the flights to get over took forever as expected (somewhat). 4 days after leaving I finally made it, but the weather was terrible for another 4. Just before leaving it got pretty good for about a day and a half and this is what I managed to get.

Wish I had more time. I missed all the cool Lightning and the Lava of the first eruption. But I figure this will just be a trial run for another day.

I am of course accepting sponsors to send me back there for more please…!! haha

Hayaku: A Time Lapse Journey Through Japan by Brad Kremer

Japan is one of the most beautiful countries in the world. This is my Japan. This is one of the many reasons why I love Japan. I shot this in many locations around Japan in the summer of 2009. Some of the location include Tokyo, Matsuyama, Imabari, Nagano, Gifu, and Ishizushisan.

I started this as a personal project to try and capture the beauty that I see in Japan. It started as just that…

But now that I have finished, I see it only as a beginning. This video, along with SAIJO MATSURI (www.vimeo.com/7458088) is just the start of a much larger project that I have now decided to do.

Anyone interested in helping fund/produce this dream of mine please feel free to contact me:

    brad@bradkremerfilms.com

So I hope you enjoy this preview of what is to come in the future.

    “Hayaku” definition: Hurry up

    Camera: Canon 5DMKII

    Additional equipment: Mumford Moco

    Music:

    Royksopp - Triumphant

    The Album Leaf - Window

Edit: A very big THANK YOU to all the amazing comments from everyone! It is a great feeling to have one’s work appreciated and possibly to inspire. Domo Arigatou!

Kauai sunset: Lumix GH1 slow motion by Philip Bloom

I was out taking a look around for some spots for filming tomorrow with the Letus Ultimate and EX3 when we saw that the sunset was going to be beautiful…so we pulled over. All I had on me was the little red GH1 and an SLR Gorillapod. So not ideal. But I set it up on the sand, got myself covered in sand and filmed this beautiful sunset. All in 1280×720 mode…50p slowed down to 25p in cinema tools. Tutorial on how to do that here: philipbloom.co.uk/tutorials/how-to-turn-50p-and-60p-into-slow-motion-with-cinema-tools/

Graded with Magic Bullet Looks and it held up just fine!

More details on my site including more info on the beautiful song and where you can buy it. It’s from an old Twilight Zone episode!

SHADOWS by I C Blue Production

Not sure why I filmed this piece. It was just something about shadows that had inspired me. So I wanted to see how it would come across on video….and use the natural outside light that’s present on a very sunny day.

Our Time Is Brief by Ian Berenger

I sometimes get so caught up in the drama of everyday life that I forget to sit back and enjoy the simple things. Losing a dear friend this year really taught me how precious our time on this earth really is. You’re here one second and gone the next, so if you have something to say to someone don’t hesitate to do it before its too late.
